UNESCO Chair in Sustainable Development and Territory Management

The UNESCO Chair in Sustainable Development and Territory Management, established in 2010 at the University of Turin, aims to promote an integrated system of research, education and public engagement.

The themes and areas of intervention are many, and take on a multi- and interdisciplinary approach. Sustainability and all its dimensions (environmental, economic and social) is at the core of our work. 

In line with UNESCO principles, the Chair also aims to facilitate international cooperation and the dissemination of research results, with particular interest in the Euro-Mediterranean region, as well as Africa and Latin America.

Master in Socio-Environmental Sustainability of Agro-Food Networks

  • Description

    The Master in Socio-Environmental Sustainability of Agro-Food Networks (MaSRA) is a unique study programme that advances students’ substantive knowledge, practical skills and real-world experience to address new pathways in the agro-food sector. This is realized through an integrated approach targeting areas ranging from participatory planning, monitoring and evaluation to the strategic management of key impacts.

  • Objectives

    The MaSRA programme is best suited for those who are dedicated to the development and design of a sustainable agro-food sector. Students will deepen their understanding of today's complex agro-food supply chains by analysing the numerous economic, cultural, social and environmental factors that characterise them.
