Abstract: The coronavirus crisis that Italy and many other countries have been facing for almost a year poses many problems of interpretation. What are the causes of the pandemic? What will be the consequences in the social, political, scientific, economic field?
CoVid-19 has rapidly become a “total social” phenomenon of such dimensions as to legitimize a “logic of the exception” in the measures taken to combat it. The bio-medical, health, social, economic, and political spheres have mixed. Moreover, under the lash of the pandemic, an international production and financial crisis has returned to the horizon. The climate crisis and the necessary ecological transition remain for now in the background but, for reasons that will be explained in the journal, they appear even more central than they were before the pandemic.
