GLOBAL TEACH-IN: democratize the crisis

The event, for which the UNESCO Chair was actively involved, consisted of networking different countries and cities around the world to discuss different issues, with speakers and activists of great importance such as the anthropologist David Graeber, the British sociologist Hilary Wainwright, and our UNESCO Chair's Director, sociologist Dario Padovan.

The aim was to promote political reforms and systemic changes necessary to limit the worst impacts of the Covid-19 crisis.

The aim of the initiative was to share knowledge, to advance short-term solutions, and to promote long-term structural reforms to democratize the current crisis. The aim is therefore to strengthen the idea and practice of "transnational social production networks" capable of satisfying social needs identified by experts and citizens.

The Global Teach-In: Democratize the crisis took place on Tuesday, 26 May 2020 at 4 p.m. (Italian time).
