The Chair is involved in higher education, organising a First level Masters Degree in Socio Environmental Sustainability of Agro Food Networks , and in continuing education, promoting seminars, conferences, summer school at national and international context. The general aim is to train experts, professional and consultant to design and implement sustainable strategies at local, regional, national and international level for preserving and promoting cultural and biological differences, improving local knowledge and heritages that are crucial aspects of the sustainable development. The goal is to conduct the ecological transition at social, economic and productive level, by leading society, the private and the public sector toward new means of production, distribution and consumption of energy, raw materials and services.

The course MY FOOTPRINTS ON THE PLANET is an initiative realized within the Diderot project foundend by Fondazione CRT. It aims to provide to students of Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta schools definitions and a calculation tools to reflecht on the environmental footprints (Ecological, Water and Carbon Footprint), to highlight the environment impact of the production and consumption of food products. The goal is to stimulate the ecological awareness through concrete and scientifically shared conceptual tools. The didactic material is in Italian.
